Queens Public Library- Flushing ALC

Agency Description:
Queens Library's Adult Learner Program provides classes, small group tutoring and other learning opportunities to help customers learn English, learn to read and write, learn technological skills and obtain a high school diploma. Flushing ALC offers morning, afternoon, evening and Saturday classes. The classes usually meet 2 times per week, for a total of six hours. Overall, Flushing ALC has 4 semesters per year, serving over 600 (including approximately 100 ALE) students annually. 

Agency Highlight: 
The Flushing ALC serves students who are not able to read and write in their native language. By offering ALE classes, students are now able to achieve higher employment and academic goals including obtaining a better job, participating in HSE classes and obtaining their High School Equivalency Diploma.

Registration Information:
