NYRS Periods of Participation

Automatic Exiting--the end of a POP
For both NRS and NYRS, ASISTS will automatically exit students after 3 consecutive months of no new attendance data.
A report will be created in ASISTS around the middle of the month to show you which students are scheduled to be exited at the end of the month.  If a students appears on this report who should not be exited because they have additional hours that are not yet in ASISTS, you can stop the student from being exited by entering those hours before the end of the month.

POPs and Measurable Skills Gain
Under NYRS, once a student exits a program, the current POP is completed.  If the student returns after 90 days, they will begin a new POP.  For each POP, the student will count as a new enrollment (towards the program's contracted enrollment number), but they cannot make more than one Measurable Skills Gain (MSG) across all their POPs in a fiscal year.  POP Contact/Attendance hours will continue to accrue through all POPs.

POPs and Testing
Under NYRS, no requirement for multiple testing from one POP to the next.
