Agency Description:
Northern Manhattan Improvement Corp (NMIC) provides ESOL and English ABE classes to 180 ALE participants per fiscal year. Our ABE/HSE program ranges from level 1-6 and our ESOL classes range from level 1-5. We also incorporate support services for our clients including but not limited to case management and mental health screenings.
Agency Highlight:
An ESOL student this cycle was able to make a significant gain in Ms. Kroumova's level 2-3 class. She is now in the process of enrolling in our ALE ABE class for the next cycle to help strengthen her literacy and numeracy skills in English.

Students are welcomed to stop by our office on the 2nd floor, 45 Wadsworth Ave, New York, NY 10033.
NMIC has a walk-in list for both ESOL and ABE and we follow up with interested students to provide more information with ESOL registration due to the high demand for those classes. For information about the ESOL Program, please call 212-822-8314.
For our ABE/HSE program, we have walk-in hours every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11-4 pm in which the applications and intake exams are completed for the client. For information about the ABE/HSE Program, please call 212-822-8343.
